A player who wishes to play for a club in another county must apply for a transfer to the relevant provincial council or the central council as appropriate. We will review your transfer request before you submit your application to the relevant council.
Looking to play for a GAA club in the New York or Europe for a weekend?
We will present your application to Croke Park to obtain a weekend sanction allowing you play for your chosen club for a weekend.
Travelling to New York, North America or Canadian Board areas?
We will seek the relevant sanction for you, the J1 (Student) Visa sanction which allows you to play for a year or the minimum 60 day sanction which many students who travel to America or Canada for the summer use.
Travelling to Australia, Asia or the Middle East?
We will seek a one year Sanction from Croke Park allowing you to play under the jurisdiction of the Australasian Board.
